PP OR CARDSTOCK-QOTD August 20, 2009

Okay, do you use mostly cardstock or patterned papers for your background page?

I used to do mostly cardstock, but feel that I now do a great mix.  I've gotten a lot braver at using pp for my backgrounds and mixing pp's.  I love the way both look!!

I definitely use more

I definitely use more cardstock on 12 x12 layouts but more patterned paper on mini albums and smaller layouts.

I think I'm about 50-50!

I think I'm about 50-50!  But when I use cardstock backgrounds, I usually lay a pretty large pp piece over it so it's mostly a pp background anyway!

I love the PP

that looks like cardstock. Like basic grey's scratched up version of solids, or Cosmo Cricket's grid-like papers. Texture without all the overload of colors and patterns.

I normally am a good mix of both but lately I've been a bit more simple with patterns and use a lot more cardstock.  I've sort of been treating my patterned paper accents lately.  Since I scrap 8 1/2 x 11, often times one page will be the patterned paper and the facing page will be cardstock with the left over part of the patterned paper I cut off used to accent.
