My family always loves playing board games. The games we play have changed over the years and right now our current obsession is Settlers of Catan.
What is your favorite board game? If you don't really play board games, what is your favorite pasttime with friends/family?

we play tons of games around here!! recently, we've bee on a cribbage kick, but i did have a rousing game of balderdash last night that went til 1am! for those of you who just laughed at the 1am thing, keep in mind that i have very active little boys and 1am is usually at LEAST 2 hrs. past my bedtime!! hahaaa
one of my faves is "mad gab", though i have a hard time finding anyone to play with me. i have crazy major mad gab skills, and once people see them, they won't ever play with me again! :( seriously. i guess i have to tone it down a bit.
tons of card games (faves are rummy, spades, poker) and eli LOVES to play farkle with us, too! he is quite the little smarty pants.
ooh, and i LOVE apples to apples, too! i bought the junior version for eli and it's really fun, too. taboo is another fave.
uh, i think i may have overstayed my welcome on this forum topic. quitting now.

We play a lot of Yahtzee right now, but I really love any kind of game. I also like playing the card game, Canasta.

uno is my game!
but that was when i was younger...i used to pester my dad to play Uno with me! =) Now our favourite way to spend time together is to eat together...watch tv...play with my niece and nephew!

my fam didn't have a ton of money growing up, so we always played lots of board games. our go-to holiday or get-together game used to be monopoly or risk... but Settlers of Catan has been the fav for awhile. It's sort of like monopoly meets risk, so it's a perfect fit.
Love all the games y'all mentioned. My sister and I are gonna host a board game party soon. some GREAT ideas!
