I did a mixed media project for the challenge instead of a layout. I plan to hang this in my entryway so it's the first thing that people see!

I drew the branch, the book, and the worm freehand and then cut them out. For the computer and the robot, I applied a rub-on and then cut around it. The robot's rub on is hot pink and is on the back of the patterned paper. This is a good technique to try if you like the shape but not the color of a rub-on.

For the background, I painted a layer of lagoon and then finger-painted a little bit of off-white on top while the first layer of paint was still wet. Fun, but messy!
