So, my flickr friend Tonya is an ATC Queen. Not only that, but she is a beautiful poet and artist. You can see lots of her work here and here. She makes the most fantastical images and collages, stuff that dreams are made of.
Look what she did with the May kit.

Aren't these ATCs beautiful?
I asked Tonya to tell me more about herself and her art. Here is what she had to say:
I am actually kinda quiet in my work. As to avoid getting too popular. The reason being, that I just like to be myself. I do not create to please the world. And I hope to keep it this way. I believe that for me all the fun would quickly vanish if I became overwhelmed with deadlines and due dates. I am more of a free spirit. I hate being tied down to one particular thing. I guess this is why I like to venture out into many types of creating. Sticking to one type, I would find to be extremely boring.
Although I enjoy scrapbooking, I also enjoy painting fine art, mixed media, and whatever else I take a delight toward. This way it keeps everything fresh and enjoyable. I am a person who goes against the normal rules of creating, and will on purpose, do what others might raise their eyebrow at. I enjoy that freedom of my personality.
I always try to see the beauty and love in everything. I believe what is already beautiful is...well...beautiful. But what I find amazing is how you can see or find something not so beautiful and create something even more beautiful than what is already beautiful. For things without beauty can become beautiful when touched by a heart and hands of love. And this is how I create. I can take anything I choose, and when my hands touch that object, what is within me pours out onto that piece, thereby making something that no one else can make. Something filled with my love and my personality. And wow, how refreshing it is to know that there is only one of me.
Well, Tonya.....I hope posting this doesn't make you too "famous"!! hehe
You know I love you and your work!!
Keep on inspiring the world!!!
Happy creating all!

tonya...beauty!! i am amazed by your atc's!! i have never had much luck making anything pretty on tiny little atc cards, and yours are absolutely stunning! i completely understand your "free spirit" deal...i'm the same way. there is really only one reason i create what i do, and that is for myself! to lose sight of the purpose of this craft is sad, and i see so many people who just enter contests to win, by any means. i am impressed by your humbleness, too. too many people are all about tooting their own horns, and i have so much more respect for those who are sincere, and genuine, and modest. often these are the people who possess the most talent, anyway. i am glad B spotlighted you on here. you are totally awesome
and i'm not just biased b/c of the name thing.

Euphoria, I looked up your question and this is what I found:
http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html
ATC stands for Artist Trading Card.
As their name indicates, ATC are collectables, a brilliant idea born of the older sports-themed trading cards. The one rule that makes an ATC derives from their origins: the dimensions of the ATC must be 2.5"x3.5", or 64x89mm.
To this rule are appended a couple of conventions. First, an ATC mustn't be sold, only exchanged, as the whole essence of these tiny works of art is about artists meeting (by correspondence or online if need be) and exchanging their works, thus meeting many artists and getting exposed to many personal styles. Second, on the back of each ATC the artist writes part or all of the following information: name, contact information, title of the ATC and number (1/8, 2/8...) if it's part of an edition. By definition ATCs are made in limited numbers, often no more than one of a kind. Unique ATCs are called originals; sets of identical ATCs are called editions and are numbered; sets of ATCs that are based on one theme but that are different are called series.
