SO sorry this was delayed due to techincal difficulties with the pictures! It's a lot of pictures! LOL! So you ready to get your game on?! Great!
Start off with a few supplies:
Vintage board game (or a large piece of chipboard/cardboard covered in the bingo paper from the May kit)
Utility Knife or Craft Knife
Crop-A-Dile or a heavy duty hole punch
Twine
Book Binding Tape/Gaffer tape/Colored Duct Tape
6 sheets of 12X12 Cardstock (for filler pages)
Start off by marking your board game to the size you want to cut it. Then mark your spine piece as well. The dimentions for mine are as follows: Cover and Back are approx. 7 ½ wide X 6 ½ tall & Spine is 7 X 1.25.
Now your cover is complete
Now for the inside. Cut your cardstock down to 6X12 and fold in half. Make three sections with 4 folded sheets in each. Using your crop-a-dile, punch a whole in the center fold at top and bottom on all three sections. Now you will need to make a spine strip to hold all the pages in place. Cut a scrap piece of cardstock to approx 6 X 1. Next use the same punch you used to make the holes in your filler pages (so you have the same punch reach) and punch a row of three holes at the top and bottom of the spine strip.
With all your holes punched, you can then cut three lengths of your twine (about a yard each) and thread each piece through a section of your filler pages with the loose ends facing the outside spine.
Then thread all your twine through the holes of the spine strip so it looks like the picture below.
Now you will punch a hole at the top and bottom of your outer spine, thread your twine through and tie a bow.
Embelish and you are done! Have FUN with YOUR playbook! Don't forget to upload them to the gallery so we can see!
